Erin Sterling

Roxie had to admit Erin was right. They needed a few days away from New York. It was Winter Break for both of them and they're having a good time.

Erin keeps swimming and enjoying the water. Roxie doesn't really need the sun and is reading a book on philosophy that Griffin had recommended. They're still friends even after the break up with Vincent. She appericates the fact Griffin accepts the changes she is making to her life. That was the good thing about someone like him she thought as she began to read once more.

Erin is wading out when suddenly? She yelps as something grabs her.

Roxie drops her book mark back into place and grabs the axe that Erin had called entirely unnecessary. Ha! Time to save the younger girl from a very overly friendly local ocean deity.

"Unhand her!"

What are friends for?

"Catch!"

Erin yelps when she early drops the bottle. She peers at it then at Jay. The brown bottle is a little puzzling. She has school work trying to drown her and he tosses her a drink The look on her face probably says it all.

"You looked thirsty," Jay supplies.

"So what is it?" The label is missing. She starts to open it and the scent of rootbeer hits her nose. "Oh! I should have guessed."

She flashes him a little grin. "Thanks Jay."

He nods and smiles a bit. "Don't let the homework kill you."

Physical Description:
Erin is a tall teenager standing at 5 feet 8 inches. She is athletic and healthy looking with fair skin, blonde hair, and brown eyes. She carries no scars on her person and dresses in anything she thinks looks decent on her. Most typically though she is in a school uniform as she attends a private boarding school.

Abilities:
Erin is an aquakinetic. This means that she can move water with her mind. She has the ability to also pull water from the environment to do this. Her body is also adapted towards surviving in the water for extended periods of time including diving deeply. This means she has some degree of toughness against physical damage but not as much as a half or full blooded Atlantean.

Weaknesses and Flaws: Human stamina and immune system.

High school education: she only has the knowledge of a high school student would if they study hard.

Weak psychic shields. She can't keep anyone of a moderate rating of telepathy or higher out of her mind.

Her body is also physically dependent on water. She will dehydrate three times faster than a normal human and requires two to four gallons of water outside of what would be taken in naturally through food.
Personality
Erin is typically a friendly and out going person. Coming from an old money background she has learned that a person needs to find a way to distinguish themselves on their own if they want to be anyone that matters so she has learned to take risks and that is often with her trust and her friendship due to her age. She still is very willing to rip people to shreds verbally if they prove they aren't worthy of any overtures of friendship or if they do cross the line and make an enemy of her.

It will not occur to her to use her powers for vengeance or mischief.

After she is outed as a mutant (which will be a Big character plot point I'm planning) she will have to deal with the constant pressure of her parents being more than willing to cut her off if she screws up. As she was raised rich she is well aware that if she was left penniless she wouldn't know how to cope so she will be under the emotional strain of not knowing what to do.

She is also going to be well aware her parents have anti-mutant attitudes and constantly wonder if the only reason they haven't quietly sent her away is the fact her best friend's Mother is the scariest woman in the country.

Backstory:

Erin Sterling is the only daughter of two wealthy members of the Old Money crowd in New England. She has always had everything she could possibly want. Horses to ride. Music lessons. The best schools.

She has had it all. Her Father is a diplomat and for the past several years has been the go to man when it comes to talking with Namor. He is well known for preventing several attacks from Atlantis by being silver-tongued and a fast thinker.

Her Mother owns several art galleries on Cape Cod and one in New York. She has a Masters in both business and in art history and enjoys getting involved with several different charities. Her Mother has also always made it a point to push Erin to do her best and to be as supportive as she can to her darling husband.

Erin herself has since the age of eight always attended boarding schools. Always where her parents thought she could meet the right people. She is well aware that they do this largely for her father's career and doesn't let it bother her. She makes sure to keep a few close friends who know the Real Erin Sterling.

The latest school she has attended for the past three years. The Rushmore Academy is everything her parents could have dreamed of. The smartest kids from the brightest families in politics and business. She has had a very good time at Rushmore too.

She even has her best friend ever. The only one who hasn't made her feel like a freak and outside of her parents the only one she spoke to about being a mutant. Kassi is the only one who Erin feels like is on her side in this whole situation. That also means Erin is planning on backing up her best friend as much as she can.
